SMETA audits

The increasing attention towards the places and working conditions involved in the production process have led us to develop a strong awareness of social problems. The lack of an efficient and effective process for dealing with any violations of working conditions carries risks that can harm the company's results.

In 2022 for the first time we complied with the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) audit protocol, carried out by Intertek and passed with a score of 95/100.

Injection molding of R-PET

Res Plastic launched in 2020 a line for the injection molding of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (R-PET, a thermoplastic resin suitable for food contact) dedicated to the production of children's toys.

Attention to the environment has been a fundamental point of our industrial policy for years. This has led, for example, to a strategy for containing energy consumption with the use of energy from a photovoltaic system for at least 10 years.

The company's production processes are based on the saving of resources and raw materials, and it is precisely this need that has led to the project for the use of R-PET. The development of the process took several months to set up the production departments, the specific moulds, the transport and conditioning systems, but it was finally optimized and became fully operational in 2020.
